Who can use the dental clinic?
- Adults – You must hold a current health care card or pension card and show this card at each visit.
- Teenagers – aged 13 to 18 years of age (in Years 7 to 12) who hold or whose parents hold a concession card.
- Preschool and Primary school children – All children from preschool to Grade 6.
- Parent/Guardian must be present during consultation
How do I make an Appointment?
Appointments are made by telephoning the closest dental clinic. The dental clinic has a strict appointment system. You must attend the clinic 15 minutes before your appointment.
If you are late for your appointment, you may not be seen.
How can I Cancel an Appointment?
If you cannot come to your appointment, please let the clinic know as soon as possible, so the time can be used by someone else.
There are a limited number of emergency appointments available at our clinics each day.
You can attend the Dental Hospital if an appointment at our clinic is not available.
Please ask reception staff for travel directions to the Dental Hospital
Is there a fee?
Over 18 years of age
There is a fee for all treatments. The first payment is $25.50. The total fee for a course of general treatment will not be more than $96.
Some advanced treatment and dentures will cost more.
No fee for teenagers up to 18 years of age attending secondary school, who hold or whose parents hold a health care card.
Preschool and primary school children
No fee for children whose parents hold a Health Care Card or Pension Card.
For children or parents who do not hold a health care card, there is a fee of $29.
Can I have an interpreter?
Ask if you need an interpreter. Interpreters are free.
